As spoken by Oglala Sioux medicine man, Black Elk, to be walking The Red Road is to live the Seven Sacred Virtues of the Lakota:

Wahwala : Humility
Waúnšila : Compassion
Waóhola : Respect
Wawokiye : Generosity
Wóksape : Wisdom

SOPHOMORE ALBUM
Poems from Willow Creek
This is my Papa, L. Joseph Spear. In 1996, he wrote a book of poetry titled Poems from Willow Creek.
In the preface, he stated:
In the past I have never made a serious attempt to write any poetry or other written works of any consequence. This attempt, I am sure, will have no literary impact on the world!
This album is my attempt to help him believe the opposite. It’s a tribute to him.

I love creating worlds for myself and others to heal + play in. To celebrate the release of my sophomore album, Poems from Willow Creek, I curated an immersive concert experience including print photography, super 8 film, grasses + willow branches from my family’s farm, up-cycled vintage apparel, and hand-painted murals.
