The Red Road Collection

In her debut exhibition, Kahrin expresses her connection to the Seven Sacred Virtues of the Lakota Sioux:

Wóčhekiya : Prayer

Wičákha : Honesty

Wahwala : Humility

Waúnšila : Compassion

Waóhola : Respect

Wawokiye : Generosity

Wóksape : Wisdom

As spoken by Oglala Sioux medicine man, Black Elk, to be walking The Red Road is to live a harmonious, spiritual life embodying these virtues.

SOPHOMORE ALBUM

Poems from Willow Creek

Kahrin’s Grandfather (Papa), L. Joseph Spear wrote a book of poetry titled Poems from Willow Creek in 1996.

In the preface, he stated:

In the past I have never made a serious attempt to write any poetry or other written works of any consequence. This attempt, I am sure, will have no literary impact on the world!

This album is her attempt to help him believe the opposite.

Kahrin loves creating worlds for others to heal + play in. To celebrate the release of her sophomore album, Poems from Willow Creek, she curated an immersive concert experience including print photography, super 8 film , up-cycled vintage apparel, hand-painted murals, and willow branches from her family’s farm.
