I wrote my first song at 16 when my basketball coach got sick. Somehow it was easier to sing how much he meant to me than to say it. Five days before he passed, I sang it for him in his living room. When I finished playing he opened his eyes and said “Is it over? Was that it?” It was but I told him no, that I could keep playing and went back to the beginning.
“I’d like that.” he said.
And so I’ve kept playing. And I will keep playing for him, for others. And for me. Making music is how I make it through; it’s where I find the courage to share my innermost thoughts and feelings.
So far, I’ve released three albums and one single:
I am currently writing album four.
